Our Story

Crafting Canadian goat dairy with love for over 30 years.

An Honest to Goatness Tale

It's easy to see we've always loved what we do, and that’s the honest to goatness truth.

Woolwich History

1983

Our story begins with 3 family members, a small herd of goats, just 10,000 litres of goat milk and a simple idea.

1986

Driven by passion and dedication, we began selling our goat goodness at the historical St. Lawrence Market in Toronto.

1997

Looking to share our love of simply fresh, totally delicious goat dairy nationwide, Woolwich finds its home in Orangeville, Ontario, the heart of Dufferin County.

2012

Before long we were on our way down the goat trail to becoming Canada's leading producer of goat dairy.

2015

Woolwich was acquired by Saputo, Canada’s largest cheese manufacturer.

Today

We're here, making the same great goat dairy, still driven by passion and dedication to our craft.

Love Notes

“This cheese is amazing.”

Creating Brie from goat’s milk elevates it and gives it great depth and character.

“I love this goat butter”

The flavour is wonderful...I saute my vegetables with it, and finish roasted beets and carrots with the butter glaze.
